June 27th 2015- Hua Mark Indoor Stadium, Bangkok, Thailand Manus Boonjumnong (0-0) v Jamed Jalarante (23-18-1, 11) Former Olympic champion Manus Boonjumnong may have wasted his "prime" years out of the ring but on Saturday we finally saw him making his professional debut as he took on Indonesia's Jamed Jalarante in a 4 round bout. Aged 35 Manus was "fat" and "old" but surprisingly showed off plenty of skill. (Video courtesy of KOM THAIREC)

June 27th 2015- Hua Mark Indoor Stadium, Bangkok, Thailand Amnat Ruenroeng (15-0, 5) Vs Johnriel Casimero (21-3, 13) This past Saturday in Thailand we saw a genuinely anticipated IBF Flyweight title fight between the tricky Amnat Ruenroeng and the explosive Johnriel Casimero. On paper it was a brilliant match however in reality the bout may go down as the dirtiest contest of the year. At times this was little more than ill-officiated farce. We don't want to spoil it but get yourself some popcorn and enjoy the comedic officiating of Larry Doggett. (Video courtesy of KOM THAIREC) June 23rd 2015- Bangkok University, Thonburi Campus, Bangkok, Thailand Inthanon Sithchamuang (26-7, 16) controversially over-come Jetly Purisima (20-14-4, 5) We like competitive fights, even if the records don't suggest they will be competitive in the ring. One such as example was the recent bout between Inthanon Sithchamuang and Jetly Purisima. On paper this looked a mismatch in favour of the Thai but the gutsy Purisima really played his part in a stirring contest. (Video courtesy of tko.in.th) June 23rd 2015- Bangkok University, Thonburi Campus, Bangkok, Thailand Taiwo Ali (16-3, 11) Vs Pakorn Mor Poowana (6-2-1, 5) Although it's rare we do sometimes see fighters basing themselves away from their country of birth. One such fighter is Thai based Nigerian Taiwo Ali who recently fought Pakorn Mor Poowana. For Ali this was his 20th bout in his adopted homeland. (Video courtesy of tko.in.th) December 21st 2014- 88 Gymnasium, Seoul, South Korea Woo Min Won (5-1, 2) Vs Shingo Yabu (4-3) In July we're expecting to see Woo Min Won fighting in a KBC title fight. With that in mind we were glad to come across one his fights from last year. This bout sees th Korean facing off against Japan's Shingo Yabu. April 21st 2013- Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Jin Soo Kim (5-2, 2) Vs Quaye Peter (5-2-1, 3) Fan cam or ringside footage might not always be the best but sometimes it's the only way to see a fight, unless of course you were ringside. One such fight was this 2013 contest between Korean slugger Jin Soo Kim and Japanese based Ghana born fighter Quaye Peter. On paper this was excellentmatched however few would have expected the bout to be as short as it was. May 16th 2014- Pakkret Pier, Nonthaburi, Thailand Kajornsak Sithsaithong (5-3, 2) v Back Kistkriengkrai (0-0) Earlier this month we were informed that Thailand's Kajornsak Saithsaithong would be fighting for the OPBF Super Middleweight title in July. Ahead of that bout we tried to to find footage and the Thai and came across his 2014 bout with Back Kistkriengkrai. June 22nd 2015- Boxing & Gym Academy, Moscow, Russia Ronald Pontillas (17-7-3, 8) Vs Eduard Troyanovsky (21-0, 18) Filipino fighter Ronald Pontillas has proven to be one of the most "unpredictable" fighters in Asia. The unflattering record suggests a less than talented fighter though with wins, on the road in Japan, over Masao Nakamura and Kota Tokunaga it's clear he can be a banana skin. He was looking to prove his upset ability again this past Monday when he traveled to Russia in an attempt to over-come the heavy handed Eduard Troyanovsky. June 19th 2015- Salon Sindicato Secc. 47 de Pemex, Ciudad Del Carmen, Campeche, Mexico Vergel Nebran (13-8-1, 2) Vs Cristian Mijares (51-8-2, 25) This past Friday in Mexico fans got the chance to see Filipino journeyman Vergel Nebran battle against former world champion Cristian Mijares in what looked like a total mismatch on paper June 19th 2015- Bangkok University, Thonburi Campus, Bangkok, Thailand Maimuang Sitkhurusian (1-4-1) Vs Petchladda Sor Praithong (0-0) A recent low level bout in Thailand saw the limited Maimuang Sitkhurusian take on novice professional Petchladda Sor Praithong in a 6 round female bout.
